Among the films submitted by the Independent Short Film Support Center to the 3rd edition of the Con i Minuti Contati International Short Film Festival in Italy, the animated film “The Scale” directed by Ramin Rahbar and the short narrative film “When You Get Lost” directed by Qasem Ansari were selected for the competition section dedicated to short films under 15 minutes in length.
According to the Independent Short Film Support Center, the animated film “The Scale” depicts the story of humanity from its beginning and its eventual return to that very beginning. The short narrative film “When You Get Lost” tells the story of a young boy who is forced to search for his lost water buffalo along the Bahmanshir River.
“The Scale” had previously won the award for Best Short Film Under Three Minutes at the Hamburg International Short Film Festival, while “When You Get Lost” had earlier received the Honorary Diploma for Best Short Film at Spain’s IBAFF International Film Festival.
Out of 400 films submitted from 40 countries to the festival, 58 short films were selected for the competition program, including three films representing Iran. “Maybe Another Time”, directed by Amir Hossein Asghari, is the third Iranian film participating in the competitive section of the festival.
