Among the films submitted by the Independent Short Film Support Platform to the TOKO International Film Festival in Italy, seven of the platform’s films have been selected for the main competition section of the festival.
The films selected for the festival, all distributed by the Independent Short Film Support Platform, are:
– Within the Limits of My Perception directed by Mohammadreza Rokneddini
– It Must Be Black directed by Baran Sarmad
– Politics directed by Seyed Ali Sajadi
– He directed by Seyed Mostafa Rahimi
– The Fan directed by Shirin Sohani
– Soil and Imagination directed by Zahra Yarbi
– Rhinoceros directed by Farzaneh Ghobadi
It is worth noting that ten films are representing Iran at this festival. These include the seven films from the Independent Short Film Support Platform, along with three additional films: Feeling directed by T. Yam Yabandeh, It Rains Upon the Rooftop directed by Timur Ghaderi, and The Chalk Circle directed by Bahar Kia Moghaddam, Soheil Sarraji, and Amin Javadi.
The first edition of the TOKO International Film Festival is being held with the aim of bringing the general public closer to cinema and fostering educational discussions between filmmakers and audiences. The festival program includes short film and animation competitions, discussions with directors, musical performances, and photography exhibitions.
The festival will take place in Italy on July 24 and 25, 2015.
