Cinema is more than just a collection of moving images on a silver screen; it is a “witness.” A witness to all those moments that cannot be contained by words; a record of those fleeting glances that alter the world before one can even blink.
Today, on “National Cinema Day,” rather than praising technical grandeur or the magic of the silver screen, we want to speak of the “rare.” We speak of the “human error”; that moment in the corner of a shot where the camera slightly trembles, or where an unintended shadow falls across the actor’s face, revealing the sheer, unvarnished truth of life.
Art, in its most authentic form, is the record of its creator’s heartbeat. Cinema is our sanctuary; a place where we share our fatigue, our dreams, and our hidden fears. We believe that in a world growing colder and more precise by the day, preserving this “human warmth” within the image is the most valuable act an artist can perform.
We congratulate all those who still believe that cinema, before being an industry, is “living.” We stand in respect of all those who, camera in hand, seek a trace of “being.”
