Independent Short Film Support Center Film in Lucania Main Competition

Among the films submitted by the Independent Short Film Support Center to the 15th Lucania Film Festival in Italy, the short narrative film “It Must Be Black” (Bayad Siah), directed by Baran Sarmad, has been selected for the festival’s main short film competition.
The film is making its third international festival appearance. It was previously selected for the main competition sections of the Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival in Spain and the Erbil International Film Festival in Iraq.
In addition to the film represented by the Independent Short Film Support Center, two other Iranian short films are participating in the festival:
“The Theft” directed by Mohammad Farahani
“Rain Falls on the Rooftop” directed by Teymour Ghaderi
The festival accepts narrative, documentary, and animated short films produced after August 2011 and with a running time of under 30 minutes.
The 15th Lucania Film Festival will be held from August 10 to 13, 2014, in Lucania, Italy.
