“Zemestan Ast” (It Is Winter) at the SHORT FILM CORNER of the Cannes Film Festival

The short film “Zemestan Ast” (It Is Winter), directed by Sepideh Mirhosseini — which had previously been named Best Film on the Theme of Respect for Humanity at the Fifth Independent Khorshid Film Festival — will be taking part in the SHORT FILM CORNER of the Cannes Film Festival in France.
The film, distributed and presented by the Independent Short Film Support Base, has already made its way through the Independent Khorshid Film Festival, the Kimiai Free Workshop Festival, the Image of the Year Celebration, and the International Sahar Festival in Manchester, England — and will now be making its second international appearance at the SHORT FILM CORNER of the Cannes Film Festival in France.
The film portrays the cold, distant relationships within a three-person family, as the son tries to sacrifice himself in an attempt to save them.
It is worth noting that the Cannes Film Festival in France — one of the most important cinematic events in the world — will be held from May 16 to 22, 2016, in France.
