Ghazaleh Soltani’s “Leafless Garden” Wins Clermont-Ferrand Students’ Choice Award

The short narrative film “Leafless Garden”, directed by Ghazaleh Soltani, which had recently been selected for the International Competition section of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France, achieved remarkable success at the festival.
Following its screening in the international competition of one of the world’s most prestigious short film festivals, the film received the Students’ Choice Award at the 37th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
The 37th edition of the Clermont-Ferrand Festival was held in France from January 30 to February 7, 2015.
The film, distributed by the Independent Short Film Support Center, tells the story of a family striving to achieve their dreams while making their way through the hustle and bustle of contemporary Tehran.
Prior to this achievement, “Leafless Garden” had been screened at the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival, the Tehran International Short Film Festival, and the main competition section of the 4th Khorshid Independent Short Film Celebration.
