Among the films submitted by the Independent Short Film Support Platform to the FRESCO International Festival of Modern Art and Spiritual-Moral Films in Armenia, three films from the platform were selected for the festival’s main competition section.
The selected films, all distributed by the Independent Short Film Support Platform, are:
Mirage (Sarab), a short fiction film and the directorial debut of Javad Pourheidari
Aftershock, a short fiction film directed by Mahmoud Yazdani Bahramabadi
The Fan, a short animated film directed by Shirin Sohani
The FRESCO International Festival of Modern Art and Spiritual-Moral Films is held with the aim of preserving and promoting love, solidarity, tolerance, and human values through ethical and cultural dialogue. The festival also seeks to support the development of spiritual and moral cinema and increase public demand for such films as an important socio-cultural force.
The 2015 edition of the festival takes place from June 26 to July 6 in Yerevan, Armenia.
It is worth noting that in 2014, the short fiction film Pabous, directed by Mehdi Yarmohammadi and represented by the Independent Short Film Support Platform, also participated in the FRESCO Festival.
