The 11th Nahal Student Film Festival will feature nine films represented by the Independent Short Film Support Center among the works selected for this year’s festival.

“The Little Girl from the Garbage Fire” (Dokhtarak-e At-e Ashghali) — directed by Mohammad Zare Jannan
Narrative Films:
“A Few Floors Down” (Chand Tabaqeh Paeen-tar) — directed by Seyed Vahid Ghazi Mirsaeed
“The Coat” (Kat) — directed by Mostafa Gandomkar
“The Hunter” (Shekarchi) — directed by Morteza Taleb
Out-of-Competition Section:

“Melody of a Dream” (Melodi-ye Yek Roya) — directed by Keyvan Fahimi
Narrative:
“A Good Day” (Ye Rooz-e Khoob) — directed by Sousan Salamat
First-Year Competition Section:
“It Must Be Black” (Bayad Siah) — directed by Baran Sarmad
“A Cage Went in Search of a Bird” (Qafasi Be Jostojou-ye Parandeh-i Raft) — directed by Farhad Ranjbar Moghaddam
Mid-Length Film Section:
“Dead End” (Bonbast) — directed by Arman Khansarian
The selection committee for the 11th Nahal Student Short Film Festival consisted of:
Masoud Soflaei — university lecturer and Head of the Cinema Department at the University of Art, Tehran
Dr. Ali Rouhani — university lecturer and Head of the Cinema Department at Soore University
Mehdi Rahmani — graduate of Film Directing from the IRIB Faculty, filmmaker and screenwriter
Mohammad Haddadi — graduate of Cinematography from the Cinema and Theatre Faculty, documentary filmmaker, founder of the Nahal Festival, and secretary of its first and second editions
The 11th Nahal Student Short Film Festival will be held from May 24 to May 31 at the University of Art in Tehran.
