According to the festival’s public relations office, the Young Jury selected one outstanding work in each category—fiction, documentary, and animation—from among the submitted entries, independently of the festival’s main jury.
The Young Jury awarded the Best Fiction Film prize to Abolfazl Kahani of Tehran for Don’t Look at Each Other. The filmmaker received the festival statuette, a certificate of merit, and a cash prize of 2 million tomans.
The Young Jury awarded the Best Animation prize to Ramin Rahbar of Hamedan for the animated film Tarazu (The Scale). He received the festival statuette, a certificate of merit, and a cash prize of 2 million tomans.
The Young Jury awarded the Best Documentary prize to Mehdi Dehghan of Bushehr for the documentary Fish Alley. The filmmaker received the festival statuette, a certificate of merit, and a cash prize of 2 million tomans.
At the closing ceremony, the three winning films—Don’t Look at Each Other, Tarazu, and Fish Alley—were screened.
The Young Jury of the main competition section of the 8th International 100 Film Festival consisted of Farahnaz Sharifi, Shahram Mokri, Ida Panahandeh, Behrouz Shoaibi, and Moein Samadi, who were responsible for evaluating the entries.
