Qashang Kamkar Donates an Instrument to the Artists’ Donation Collection

Qashang Kamkar, a setar and violin player and a member of the Kamkars Ensemble, has donated the very first instrument of her life to the Artists’ Donation Collection.
The accompanying note with the donation reads:
“The most valuable and greatest asset a human being possesses is their strength and capability. The key to every success lies within these values and abilities, and the greatest investment of any artist is the youthfulness, vitality, and soundness of their mind. A person who truly loves their work is capable of overcoming any hardship, whether they have wealth or not. There are no limits to this kind of love.
Love your work and your profession, and you will discover the key to all your goals in life and become a source of pride to yourself. Love yourself so that you may love others. True love is a guiding force.
I myself have remained steadfast through my love for my family and through the support of this loving and affectionate family. Today, I dedicate the very first instrument of my life to the passionate young people of this land.”
The Independent Short Film Support Platform, in its efforts to support independent Iranian filmmakers and help revive the cycle of production and international distribution of valuable short and documentary films, has established the Artists’ Donation Collection. The initiative has been warmly welcomed by the artistic community.
