Sixteen Iranian films submitted by the Independent Short Film Support Platform have been selected to screen at the 3rd Sahar International Film Festival in Manchester, England.

Mandana Ansari, director of the Sahar Festival, stated that the 3rd Sahar International Festival will be held on June 24, 2017, in Manchester, England, with the aim of discovering independent films and creative filmmakers and introducing them to the film industry.
She also explained the screening schedule for the Iranian films, noting that on June 24, three Iranian films — Black directed by Hamideh Moeinfar, Hands and Shoulders directed by Ali Asghar Ahmadi Moghadam, and Strike directed by Ardavan Tarakameh — will be screened.
The remaining announced films may be included in future screening programs of the festival, the dates of which will be announced later, provided they submit the required supplementary materials by June 5 of the current year.
It is also worth mentioning that Mehdi Yarmohammadi — filmmaker, film distributor, and director of the Independent Short Film Support Platform — who previously served as a jury member for the Iranian Cinema section in the last edition of the festival, has been invited to the 3rd edition of the festival to deliver a speech on “The Future of Cinema.”
