About the Festival: The Canada Comedy International Film Festival was originally founded as a major in-person event, bringing together filmmakers, audiences, and comedy enthusiasts for screenings and festival activities. Since 2024, the festival has transitioned to an online format, allowing comedy films and screenplays from Canada and around the globe to reach a broader international audience. While screenings and award programs are now hosted online, the festival maintains its in-person presence through regular workshops in Winnipeg, Canada. These workshops focus on creative development, professional exchange, and supporting emerging as well as established filmmakers.
