About Residency:Starting in the fall of 2026, artists of all levels and disciplines are invited to apply for a 2 to 4 week residency to focus on independent creative work during Ox-Bow’s slower, off-season periods.
Fees:
- 1 week: $1,200
- 2 weeks: $2,200
- 3 weeks: $3,200
- 4 weeks: $4,200
Additional Information:Participants will enjoy a quiet, self-guided experience on the historic Ox-Bow campus, including: private dormitory-style accommodation; a family-style dinner prepared by the Ox-Bow kitchen on weekday evenings; access to a shared kitchen stocked with food and supplies for breakfast and lunch; and a simple, dedicated studio space for each artist. This program is particularly well-suited for artists working independently in fields such as drawing, painting, writing, and other media that do not require specialized equipment.
Note:Specialized campus studios are not active during this period. A portfolio submission is required. This program does not have a specific application deadline; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. You may submit your interest at any time, and the Ox-Bow team will respond upon review. As capacity fills up gradually, it is recommended that you apply as soon as possible to increase your chances of securing your preferred dates.
