About the Festival: With roots dating back to 1974, the festival was established to support experimental styles and Super-8 films. Throughout its history, it has hosted renowned filmmakers such as Pedro Almodóvar, François Ozon, and Nanni Moretti. Following a hiatus, the event has been revived to provide an intimate space for both emerging and established filmmakers (with low to medium budgets). The festival is recognized as a platform for discovering “hidden gems” with the potential to shine at A-list festivals and even the Academy Awards.

- Submission Rules: Incomplete projects (Rough Cuts) are not accepted. Films that have premiered elsewhere or have existing distribution agreements are eligible.
- Screening Terms: The festival does not offer screening fees; by submitting, filmmakers agree not to request screening fees upon selection. Once officially selected, films cannot be withdrawn from the program.
- Legal & Liability: The producer is responsible for all submission costs and bears legal liability regarding third-party claims.
- Support Programs: Includes free submissions for 10 selected countries, a Local Filmmakers Program, and an Inclusive Audience Program (offering low-cost or free screenings for students and underprivileged communities).
