“Mirage” in the Main Competition of FRESCO

Among the films submitted by the Independent Short Film Support Base to the FRESCO International Festival of Modern Art and Spiritual-Moral Films in Armenia, the short narrative film “Mirage”, the directorial debut of Javad Pourheidari, was selected for the festival’s main competition section.
The film, distributed by the Independent Short Film Support Base, had previously competed in the main competition section of the INSIGHT HALF Festival in India, where it received the Special Jury Award.
The FRESCO International Festival of Modern Art and Spiritual-Moral Films is held with the aim of preserving and promoting love, solidarity, tolerance, and human values through ethical and cultural dialogue, as well as encouraging the development of spiritual and moral cinema and increasing public demand for such films as an important socio-cultural force.
The festival will take place from June 26 to July 6, 2015, in Yerevan, Armenia.
In 2014, the short narrative film “Pabous”, directed by Mehdi Yarmohammadi and represented by this organization, also participated in the FRESCO Festival.
