About the Festival:This underground film and video art platform focuses on showcasing experimental, avant-garde, underground films, and independent film and video art projects made with very low budgets or no budget at all from around the world.
Themes and Focus Areas:Experimental documentaries; art films and docu-fiction works; experimental, avant-garde, underground, surrealist films; animation; CGI; video art and mixed-media works; video performance; and experimental and/or web-based interactive projects, such as interactive films and videos, games, and other interactive digital projects.
Awards:All selected works will be included in the Official Selection and will automatically enter the competition for awards.
Awards include: Jury Prize, Special Mention, and Audience Award.
These awards will be presented for each program during the screenings.
Films that receive the Jury Prize, Special Mention, or Audience Award in the 2026 Summer and Winter screenings will be streamed online on the VisualcontainerTV platform from January 15 to February 15, 2027.
Running Time:From 1 second to 30 minutes for short experimental works and video art pieces; works longer than 30 minutes are eligible as feature-length and experimental films.
Language and Subtitles:All works whose original language is not English must include English subtitles.
