The 14th edition of the CONCORTO International Film Festival in Italy has invited the short narrative film “Leafless Garden”, directed by Ghazaleh Soltani, to screen in its Focus on Iranian Cinema section.
The film, which is distributed internationally by the Independent Short Film Support Center, tells the story of a family making their way through the hustle and bustle of contemporary Tehran in pursuit of their dreams.
To date, the film has been screened at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France, the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival, the main competition section of the WIZ-ART International Film Festival in Ukraine, and the Best Short Films of the World competition section of the JAGRAN International Film Festival in India. It also won the Students’ Choice Award at the 37th edition of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France.
The 14th edition of the CONCORTO International Film Festival will take place in Italy from August 22 to August 29, 2015.
