Among the films submitted by the Independent Short Film Support Center to Italy’s Sguardi Altrove Women’s Film Festival, the short narrative film “A Good Day”, directed by Sousan Salamat, has been selected for the festival’s main competition section.
The film, which is distributed by the Independent Short Film Support Center, has previously screened in the main competition sections of the San Francisco Iranian Film Festival and India’s INSIGHT HALF Film Festival. Its selection at Sguardi Altrove marks the film’s third international festival appearance.
The film also recently received an award at the 8th Parvin Etesami Film Festival.
The 22nd Sguardi Altrove Festival is held with the aim of encouraging women filmmakers to explore and express issues related to women’s lives through the art of cinema. The festival will take place in Milan, Italy, from March 21 to March 28, 2015.
