The names of the members of the First National Mother Film and Photo Festival Policy Council have been announced.
According to the festival’s public relations office, the six-member council consists of Fatemeh Goudarzi, Roya Teymourian, Hossein Nazari, Mehdi Yarmohammadi, Meysam Pouyanfar, and Maryam Jalali.
Fatemeh Goudarzi
Fatemeh Goudarzi, a film and television actress, was born in 1963. She holds a high school diploma in Economics and completed a two-year theater program at the Acting Department. Goudarzi began her artistic career in 1988 with the television series “Grandmother’s Galoshes.” In 1990, she entered cinema by appearing in the film “For Everything” directed by Rajab Mohammadin. Her performance in “I Want to Stay Alive” demonstrated abilities that had previously gone largely unnoticed.
Although she did not receive an award at the 13th Fajr Film Festival, she won one the following year for her performance in “Ghazal.” Among the films in which she has appeared are The Migrants, For Everything, The Empty House, Legend of the Panther Mist, The Tanker War, I Want to Stay Alive, Hidden Paradise, The Great Wish, Ghazal, Rival of the Heart, A Painting for Love, The Victorious Warrior, Telephone, My Ideal Spouse, The Footballers, Water, Pink Marriage, Marriage Iranian Style, Nima Youshij, Empty Hands, The End of the Road, Hoora’s Night, and The Little Sparrow, among others.
She has received the Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress for her role in “Ghazal,” as well as nominations for Best Leading Actress in 1998 and Best Supporting Actress in 1991 at the Fajr Film Festival. Goudarzi has also received awards from the Kish International Film Festival, the Hafez Awards, the Stone Lion Award from the Second Shahrekord Film Festival, and the Golden Palm Award from the First Abadan Film Festival.
She currently serves as the Secretary of the Mother Film and Photo Festival.
Roya Teymourian
Roya Teymourian was born in 1959 in Tehran and is married to Masoud Rayegan. She earned her degree in acting and directing from the University of Art in 1987.
She began working in radio in 1981 and started her television career in 1983 with the series “The Dancing Slave” directed by Abolghasem Moarefi. In 1994, she entered cinema with the film “Longing to See.”
Her performance in the television series “Rana” directed by Davood Mirbagheri established her as a talented actress. Throughout her television career, she consistently delivered memorable performances, reaching one of her artistic peaks in the series “The Trial” directed by Hassan Hedayat.
Teymourian has been nominated at the Fajr Film Festival for her performances in The Rain Man, Poisonous Mushroom, Infatuation, The Earring, and Women’s Prison, and holds one of the highest nomination records in the festival’s history.
She has also been recognized as one of the most accomplished women in Iranian theater and has appeared in numerous stage productions, including Blood Wedding, Chaos Within Chaos, Les Misérables, The Merciless Killer, Dream of a Photograph, and The Cherry Orchard.
This renowned actress has served on the jury of the House of Cinema Awards on several occasions and has also judged the International Fajr Theater Festival, Student Theater Festivals, Iranian Youth Cinema Society competitions, Short Film Festivals, and Provincial Film Festivals.
Since 2001, she has held a First-Class Artistic Degree.
Hossein Nazari
Hossein Nazari was born in 1973 and holds a degree in Psychology.
He has served as the Public Relations Director of the Markazi Province Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance for three years, a Fajr Film Festival Supervisor for four editions, Managing Director of the Nila Farhang Institute, and a jury member for the Support for Work and National Production Festival in Isfahan for two editions.
He has also managed the Bread Film and Photo Festival and currently serves as the Executive Director of the Mother Film and Photo Festival.
Nazari has additionally spent many years as an inspector overseeing cinema-related institutions and professions within Iran’s cinema organization.
Mehdi Yarmohammadi
Mehdi Yarmohammadi was born in 1978, graduated in Physics, and works as a filmmaker, producer, and distributor of short, documentary, and experimental films.
His activities include serving as the founder and secretary of the Khorshid Independent Film Festival, founder and director of the Independent Short Film Support Base, membership in the Iranian Documentary Filmmakers Association, receiving commendations from the United Nations and the International Red Cross, participating in numerous national and international festivals, and winning multiple awards.
He currently serves as the Executive Director of the First Mother Film and Photo Festival.
Meysam Pouyanfar
Meysam Pouyanfar was born in 1981. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in MBA. He has also earned international certifications in Global Marketing and Crisis Management under Bob Pritchard, one of the world’s leading marketing consultants, who has advised companies such as Toyota, General Motors, and Xerox.
Pouyanfar has worked as a consultant and sales development manager for several major companies in Iran.
He has also studied music and singing academically under the late Master Nouri, Alireza Shafaghi, and Mohammadreza Sadeghi. His artistic activities include composing and singing on four albums with the band Seven.
He also has a solo album titled “Absent-Minded”, which is scheduled for release soon.
Maryam Jalali
Maryam Jalali was born in 1968. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Persian Literature, a Master’s degree in Psychology, and a Doctorate in Cultural Management and Planning.
She has spent many years writing and producing radio programs. Her professional experience also includes serving as:
